Challenge Nord-Micro, a world leader in the commercial and military aerospace industry needed to achieve DO-178B structural coverage on its cabin pressure control systems (CPCS) in the shortest amount of time using minimal resources. Solution The development team at Nord-Micro selected VectorCAST to test software applications written in Ada utilizing the AdaCore GNAT Pro HIE (High-Integrity Edition) compiler, the JTAG interface, and debugger from Abatron. Details Hamilton Sundstrand's Nord-Micro business unit in Frankfurt, Germany develops, manufactures and integrates fully automatic cabin pressure control systems designed for safety and passenger comfort for major aircraft manufacturers and international airlines. The company uses VectorCAST/Ada for unit and integration testing and VectorCAST/Cover for code coverage analysis.

(CPCS) for large commercial and military aircrafts. The company supplies
CPCS systems for the majority of the Airbus fleet, including all models of the
A320, and A330, and A340 family. Nord-Micro uses VectorCAST embedded
software testing solutions for module and software integration testing, as
required by DO-178B, on their flight software for the A380-Cabin Pressure
Control System.
