-It took 500 employees to build Scotia Bank Place

-There are approximately 8 restaurants along with 3 bars, not including canteen sales, 50/50, ticket sales

-Businesses like Palladium Insurance, Sports Medicine,YMCA

Harassment can be a problem (rivalries) Attending games brings out a positive

water used in Ontario per week

played hockey at some point in their life Players have high living expectations

because of travel

Meaning that these areas will take up more agricultural space

Big Money= Big Property= Big Houses

RECOMMENDATIONS

All players join NHLPA Carbon Neutral Challenge

Plasma Gasification- Burning Garbage=Creating Energy

Automatic Sensors for lights, lower average water temperature in facility

Install low flow water toilets, hand dryers, energy efficient light bulbs

9 Month Period at Scotia Bank Place- 238 Metric tonnes of waste was removed

Average NHL player uses 100 sticks per 82 games

Average NHL player carbon emissions= 10 tonnes per season

523 Players have signed up for the carbon neutral challenge

Since Scotia Bank Place has been built= housing has increased by 57000 in Kanata
