THE CSC IAAS SOLUTIONSCSC CloudCompute, a VMware vCloud® Datacenter Service, is a pay-as-you-go service that delivers convenient, on-demand network access to a pool of compute, storage and network resources. It is designed and managed to support production workloads and mission-critical applications, CloudCompute combines the powerful, fully integrated cloud fabric VblockTM with CSC’s proven expertise in managed services and cyber-security. Vblock, the market-leading cloud fabric from VCE, combines leading virtualization software from VMware; unified networking, security and computing from Cisco; and storage, security and management technologies from EMC.

CloudCompute can be deployed in one of three ways: two off-premises models that run in CSC Cloud Enabled Data Centers, one leveraged and one a virtual private environment, and an on-premises private cloud billed as a service. The cloud fabric, standard service agreements, standard rate card and management options are consistent across all three CSC CloudCompute deployment models.

Offsite, CSC IaaS is deployed from Tier III access-controlled, fault-tolerant SAS 70 Type II audited data centers and protected by our defense-in-depth security framework, which delivers the physical and logical security, access control and data integrity options needed to support mission-critical, customer-facing and back-office applications. CloudCompute provides client data isolation and 24x7 incident response along with optional security services that include scheduled vulnerability scanning, network intrusion detection services (NIDS), virtual firewalls and CSC Audit Log Assurance Services.

From the CloudCompute service catalog, servers can be rapidly configured and provisioned. Billing and chargeback capabilities, along with usage tracking and SLA monitoring, are provided as a standard feature.
