• Objective 2: Demonstrate the meaning of congruence through applying transformations.
• Indicator A: Demonstrate the effect of reflection, translation, and rotation using objects.
Learning Objective
• Students will be able to describe and recognize reflection, translation, and rotation using polygons.
Technology in My Lesson
• Y.P.P.= Yearly Progress Pro.
• Researched based assessment tool that gives specific frequent feedback to teachers.
• Instant, on the spot intervention
• Aligned with core curriculum
• Teachers develop own assessments or use programs.
How I used This Technology
• After teaching the students about flip, slides, and turns I created an assessment on Y.P.P. to test their knowledge.
How continued
• Students worked individually with head phones to answer a 15 question assessment.
• Pictures and audio are used to communicate questions.
• Teacher assistance
Went Well/Not Well
• Well– Students enjoyed using the computer and
getting to type.– Students were excited that they could see flip,
slide, and turn virtually.
• Not Well– It was a fast activity because they knew it
well.– I could have had the students interact with
each other more.
Principles of Effective Technology Integration
• Student use of technology– Students were involved. Not teacher showing.
• Technology use is essential
-Added on to learning, not just for my use.
• Focus on Learning Task
-The entire task was based on the learning objective
Added Value
- The technology added to the lesson
