take a walking tour of Florence where they will visit the main historical and architectural achievements the city offers.

simulate life as a Greek citizen in which they will wear a traditional chiton and become a member of one of five polises.

research and transform themselves into a historical figure from the a time period they choose.

Students can turn homework in one day late for half credit, after that they receive a zero.

Student’s homework will always be posted on the whiteboard for the week. The first thing I ask them to do when they arrive in class is to get out their assignment book and write down their assignment. They rarely have homework on Fridays.

Homework is one of the major keys to success in school.

AbsencesAbsencesStudents are responsible to make up any and all work missed from an absence. The time they have to make up their work is in direct proportion to days missed from school. If your student is absent for three or more days, you may request a homework collection via the front office.

Provide a quiet study area and daily homework times. Check their assignment book if you suspect your child is not doingtheir homework. They should have something written for every subject.

Encourage your child to work independently.

Provide assistance when necessary.

Talk to them about their school day. You are the most important person in your child’s life and teachersneed your assistance and support in assuring that your child receives the best education possible.
