At Wintech Engineering Limited, we have continuously invested in our Telford Testing Laboratory, enabling us to offer a full range of UKAS accredited testing to the Window, Door and Glass and Glazing industries. We are delighted to be able to offer the following tests, with the addition of PAS 23 and PAS 24 testing soon to be added to our UKAS scope of Accreditation.

Glass & Glazing Impact Testing

Our long standing relationship with the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) led Wintech Engineering Limited to become the world’s f irst UKAS accredited Testing Laboratory for BS EN 12600 Impact Testing in 2000.

Our Impact Testing Rig has been specially designed to accommodate a range of test samples types for soft and heavy body impacting including:

Glass & Glazing – Fragmentation Testing

To compliment Impact Testing, Wintech Engineering Limited can provide a comprehensive range of materials testing.

Tests covered by our scope of UKAS accreditation:BS EN 12150-1: 2000 and BS EN 1863: 2000 Glass Fragmentation Testing.

Once impacted the test sample is carefully checked to ensure compliance with the relevant Testing Standard

Testing is undertaken in Laboratory conditions in our dedicated Window, Door and Glazing Test Department.

Once completed accredited test reports are produced for every successfully tested product.

Windows – Enhanced Security Performance Testing

Secured by Design focuses on crime prevention at the design, layout and construction stages of both homes and commercial buildings in the UK and promotes the use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products.

Further to the above, Wintech Engineering Limited is fully UKAS accredited to BS 7950: 1997.

With a purpose built testing rig, specif ically designed to undertake Enhanced Security Testing our clients can book in a full testing regime or undertake Research and Development Testing prior to full Compliance or Regulatory Testing.

Performance of Windows & Doors

Wintech Engineering Limited is UKAS accredited to undertake Testing in accordance with BS6375–Parts1&2:2009.

BS 6375 is the national application document for BS EN 14351, it identif ies the characteristics and classes of performance appropriate for window and internal / external pedestrian doorsets in the UK.

We can undertake testing either on our purpose built SecurityTestingRig housing samples up to 3m x 2.5m or on our WeatherPerformanceRig, capable of accommodating samples up to 3m x 3m.

Coming SoonHaving recently been assessed by UKAS Wintech Engineering Limited will soon be able offer UKAS accredited testing in accordance with PAS23&PAS24 to compliment the services we already provide.
