LOCATIONS

Building 58

Importance: Low

Difficult to defend, as situated in the centre of campus, and is very isolated with few places to source supplies in the surrounding area.

As such would not be worth wasting scarce resources attempting to defend. Although vehicles nearby would be useful for travelling to next location.

Watts Park

Importance: Low

We chose not to defend the park because it offers no protection and is a very large open area and would be easily surrounded.

However, it is situated in the centre of town so supplies would be easily obtained but offers no protection so we chose not to defend this place.

Southampton Civic Centre

Importance: Medium

The building could be defended easily as it has strong big thick walls, there are supplies and shops nearby.

However, as the building is so big it would be very difficult to defend it and as the apocalypse is only 14 days long we would be more suitable to choose to defend another location instead.

West Quay

Importance: Medium

West Quay is rich in supplies and offers some protection from the zombies. This would be a good alternative place to hold up from the zombies if The Hobbit becomes compromised.

Portswood

Importance: Medium/high

Portswood is very rich in supplies which would be vital in order for us to weather the zombie storm until it passes in 14 days time.

However, we would not defend Portswood as it is too big and open. Instead we would go here and get our supplies needed using the fireworks to distract the zombies to allow for safe travel.

The fireworks can be obtained from a firework shop where they are in vast supply.

The Hobbit

Importance: Very High

The Hobbit would be the ideal place to hide from the zombies for the 14 days until the zombie threat is over.

It is the ideal place because it has food and drink already there. It is in Portswood so gathering our supplies is relatively safe. It is small enough to easily protect and has a big strong door.

It has CCTV, so we can monitor the situation outside without risking our own safety.

Safe in The Hobbit till it all blows over!
