Belum Outdoor Adventure (BOA) was established in 2007 to provide tourism trips into Royal Belum State Park. However, over the years, BOA is now offering more services to customers worldwide. Started from a 2 person operation, BOA now has 10 staff and more than 20 freelance consultants providing eco trips, training, teambuilding program, summer camp program and event.

Services we provide includes: 1. Eco-adventure trip to Royal Belum,

Pangkor Island, Gopeng, Lenggong, Kuala Sepetang, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, Sahom and Sungai Siput.

2. Training – Rescue and basic disaster management, outdoor skills, summer camp program via our training outfit, Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School (OWLS)

3. Teambuilding for corporate, clubs, schools, colleges and any organization

4. Event – we organize monthly and yearly event in Perak. All the events scheduled for each month and year can be found in our website or by calling us.

5. Research Assistant – we provide assistant for researchers and any logistics requirements in Belum-Temeggor area.

We are registered with SSM, Ministry of Finance (MOF), and Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI).

We practiced innovative and responsible tourism in all of our programs. We get the community involves via our Community Based Tourism (CBT) initiative. For conservation we practiced the “Leave No Trace” principles all the time.

Ro yal Belum Habitat to 10 species of Hornbills and 3 species of Rafflesia, Royal Belum holds Malaysia valuable treasures. It consists of 117,500 hectare of rainforest, Belum forest has been gazeted as the “Royal Belum” on 31st July 2003 and managed by Perak State Park Authority. Royal Belum has among the oldest rainforest in the world and the age was estimated to be more than 130 million years. It is surrounded by a complex river tributary system, low land, abandoned agriculture land and Lake Temenggor, second largest man made lake in Malaysia.

Natural attraction of Royal Belum which is rich with flora and fauna has made this area as main eco-tourism and adventure tourism attraction in Malaysia. Located 300 km from Kuala Lumpur, visitors can drive through Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar or enjoy the bus ride from the capital of Malaysia. The Royal Belum is composed mainly of pristine tropical rainforest, with many river systems, and small grassland areas, some abandoned agricultural plots, and Tasik Temenggor, a large man-made lake. Forests found here include lowland dipterocarp, hill dipterocarp and lower montane types with a distinctive northern element as the area borders Thailand. The Royal Belum is part of the larger Belum-Temengor forest landscape, one of the largest blocks of forest in Peninsular Malaysia. Royal Belum is an important habitat for large mammals like the Seladang (Bos gaurus), Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) and Malayan tiger (Panthera tigris jacksoni). The area is also home to the endangered Sumatran rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis), one of very few left in Peninsular Malaysia. Belum-Temengor valley is the only forest in Malaysia with all 10 species of Malaysian hornbills including large flocks of the plain-pouched hornbill (Rhyticeros subruficollis).

With 3 species of Rafflesia, flowers, rainforest plants, herbs, mushrooms, insects, fish and birds Royal Belum State Park offers great interest to ecologists, conservationalists, researchers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors who gain entry into this forest will agree that this is one of the best places for natural destinations.

ECO & ADVENTURE TRIPS Eco-adventure trips to Royal Belum State Park, Belum Temenggor Valley, Lenggong UNESCO World Heritage, Gopeng Adventure Valley, Pangkor Island and various other places in Perak. The available packages are daytrips, 2days 1night or 3days 2nights. Visitors can enjoy pure nature camping style, houseboat or the available chalets.

TRAINING & TEAMBUILDING PROGRAM Belum Outdoor Adventure can organize training and teambuilding for you group or company. Our training facilities includeRoyal Belum State Park, Pulau Tali Kail, Banding Lakeside Inn in Belum (Gerik, Perak), Kem Rekreasi Intan Suraya along Perak River in Sungai Siput, Gopeng (Ipoh) or Pangkor Island area. Our regular photography training and workshop includes Syamille Agrofarm Resort in Kuala Kangsar and Suka-Suka Lake Retreat in Lenggong.

EVENT PLANNER AND COORDINATOR Belum Outdoor Adventure can plan and coordinate your company events. Ranging from annual dinner to company’s retreat anywhere in Malaysia. Our regular destination is Genting Highlands, Lost World of Tambun and Sunway Lagoon. Enjoy the theme parks and the magnificent live shows with exotic annual dinner for your company.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT AND LOGISTICS We also conduct training for Research Assistant (RA) for any researchers to conduct their trips and research in Belum-Temenggor area. Our research assistant are fully aware of the requirements and the surrounding area which enable the researcher to conduct their research successfully.

BOA team who is always ready and prepared to entertain and assist our participants either during eco-adventure tourism trip, teambuilding or training in all locations that we operate.
