Itinerary Detail Leh Day 1 Arrival at Leh Arrive at Leh and check into a hotel. The whole day is for rest to acclimatize to the high altitude, explore the market in the evening, enjoy the cultural and natural beauty of Leh. This can be considered as a day to get familiar with the town and also acclimatize to the weather. Leh is culturally a rich place. There are dozens of monasteries and ancient temples that you can go around. They are located in and around the town. Therefore you would be getting enough time to go around the place in a day. You can have an overnight stay in Leh. Tilad Do Camp Day 2 Drive to Chilling roadhead and trek to Tilad Do camp 3100m Post breakfast we will drive to Chilling the road head from where we will start our Chadar Trek. The drive to the Chilling – the starting point of Chadar trek is an adventurous, drive on curvaceous road is like a roller coaster ride. The ride is along the river Indus via village Nimu the place of confluence of river The Indus and The Zanskar. To reach camp one need to cross the frozen Zanskar or the Chadar. Gyalpo Day 3

During winters whole of Ladakh is isolated from the whole country because of heavy snowfall and only way to reach here is fly here from Delhi. In winter the temperature goes down till minus 30 degree and whole of the Zanskar river freezes. Trekking over frozen river Zanskar is an ultimate experience and to be considered one of the most coveted thing to do. Walking on the “The Chadar” – Bed of Ice – is a perfect example of the indomitable spirit of the Ladakhis to not only withstand the vagaries of weather yet make a living out of it. It has been their traditional trade route in winter for centuries. The seven to eight days walk from chilling to Padum is both challenging as well as an unforgettable experience. The landscape acquires a pristine grandeur in winter as the trail enters into the gorge of the Zanskar, where temperatures.

Leh

Day 1

Arrival at Leh

Arrive at Leh and check into a hotel. The whole day is for rest to acclimatize to the high altitude, explore the market in the

evening, enjoy the cultural and natural beauty of Leh. This can be considered as a day to get familiar with the town and also

Tilad Do Camp

Day 2

Drive to Chilling roadhead and trek to Tilad Do camp 3100m

Post breakfast we will drive to Chilling the road head from where we will start our Chadar Trek. The drive to the Chilling – the

starting point of Chadar trek is an adventurous, drive on curvaceous road is like a roller coaster ride. The ride is along the

river Indus via village Nimu the place of confluence of river The Indus and The Zanskar. To reach camp one need to cross

The toughness of Chadar trek will be witnessed today a long frozen river trek session, temperature below sub zero. After

morning stretching exercise and breakfast you our CEOs (Chief Experience Officers) will give you brief about the Chadar

Trek- How to trek Chadar, Dos and Dont’s during the Chadar trek etc. Chadar trekking is the best winter trek on planet at

places you will find Chadar – The Frozen Zanskar hard as rock and slippery and at  places you have to wade through ankle

deep water. We will stop for lunch prepared by our staff and having warm on frozen river – The Chadar is an experience in

itself.

After passing Shingra Koma, you reach the camp-site for the day at Gyalpo, where the tents have already been pitched by

the porters.

Tibb Cave

Day 4

Trek to Dib Cave 3225m

This day we will start with morning stretching exercise and nutritious breakfast for the today’s part of Chadar Trek of around

14 Kms. Photographers should keep their cameras ready to shoot morning light on mountains on both side of frozen Zanskar

river, frozen water falls, numerous caves along the trek route.

Dib Cave is big cave which provide shelters to the porters and they welcome you with hot cup of ladakhi butter tea.

Day 5

Trek to Naerak Camp 3390

You can call it a vantage point of the chadar trek, trekking over the deep gorges under the frozen zanskar river and you can

hear the sound of water flowing beneath it. After trekking few hours you reach huge waterfall and you witness Discovery

Channel in Ultra HD frozen waterfall, dripping water, play of light on this frozen waterfall.  An old, dilapidated bridge on the

river, claimed by the villagers to be more than 1,000 years old, marks Nerak.

Dib Cave

Day 6

Trek to Dib Cave 3225m

Naerak to Dibb: The same way back? Well, technically. In fact the Chadar changes by the minute, and the colors and

perspectives all change, and yes, it is quicker downhill. The dynamics of the Chadar are awe inspiring  they reacts to the

slightest of the change in temperature and the whole landscape changes.

Day 7

Trek to Gyalpo 3225m

We continue walking in the gorge, which is inaccessible in any other season and come across some stunning frozen

waterfalls.

Tilad Do

Day 8

Drive back to Leh from Tilad Do

At the end of an outstanding frozen river chadar trek through the Himalayas, you are back to Leh and are preparing to get

back to Delhi. You can take a direct flight to Delhi from Leh, over the Himalayas. The flight back may make you nostalgic and

you might just get lost in your dreams. Alternatively, if you plan to tour the surroundings, you might also visit the nearby

places in Kashmir before you come back to your home city.
