How To Worship Lead?

Your role as a worship leader is to connect people to GOD.

Worship is all about

Not YOU, your Band, or the Crowd

Prepare yourself spiritually before the Lord.

Dedication of the Wall of Jerusalem

27 At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from where they lived and were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate joyfully the dedication with songs of thanksgiving and with the music of cymbals, harps and lyres. 28 The musicians also were brought together from the region around Jerusalem—from the villages of the Netophathites, 29 from Beth Gilgal, and from the area of Geba and Azmaveth, for the musicians had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem. 30 When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall.

Spend time with God daily & listen for the theme.

Assess & Anticipate who are the crowd

Before selecting your songs, decide on the style.

Your songs selection must be BIBLICAL and about JESUS. Remind yourself that It’s not about you…

Need some

IDEAS?

Send your songs and chords to your band members to listen first before you meet for practice.

Song transitions are very important for a smooth flow. Work on it over and over again. Then PRAY.

During Worship

Your role as a worship leader is to connect people to GOD.

REMEMBER!!

Communicate with your band and congregation

Determine your songs arrangement and execute them.

God’s word should be read. Who knows whose heart it may cut?

A successful worship is not gauge by whether the congregation jumped during the worship service but rather what happens after that.

Don’t be rigid. Sometimes you may need to forgo all that you have practiced.

How do you lead when you are in a Brethren Worship Service setting?

Most of all, make sure you enjoy the worship experience yourself.

After Worship

Get feedback from your friends, loved ones or your church leaders.

In all the good works that you do, there will always be criticism. What is true take it, and thrash the nonsense.
