Once you have time, let’s experience a night on Scent River. On one bank of it, large verdant grassland at the foot of Ngo Mon gate of Dai Noi palace is ideal for some walk. On the other bank, there are some lovely informal cafes, with hundreds of seats outside (normally full of families and pilgrims). You can also opt for a slow but cool cyclo across Trang Tien Bridge.

Perfume river on a Dragon boat: Folk singing on the Perfume riverYou can also hire a boat for 2 hours and listen to Hue royal music on boat. Five women sing and a man plays instrument. Worth a try for sure.

The DMZ Bar was named after the demilitarized zone of the 17th parallel that once divided Vietnam. Located on the main hotel and restaurant street in Hue and close to two of the major riverfront hotels, the DMZ is a casual place with a pool table that offers a good choice of Vietnamese and some Italian food. 60 Le Loi St.

Hue night marketA brand new night market has opened in the historic Vietnamese city of Hue. The pedestrian-only market opened to shoppers on 2 January 2012. According to local authorities, it will open daily from 5-11pm and will feature more than 100 stalls selling handicrafts, arts, consumer goods and food. The former royal capital of Vietnam, the central city of Hue attracts an estimated 1.6 million tourists per year.along Nguyen Dinh Chieu St.
