Day 1: Arrive SrinagarWelcome to your ‘Majestic Kashmir’ tour! Arrive into Srinagar airport. You will be met and transferred to your houseboat in Srinagar. In the evening enjoy a ‘Shikara ride’ on the famous Dal Lake. Overnight stay in the houseboat (L, D)

Day 2: In Srinagar • Day Excursion to Gulmarg (52 kms / approx. 2 hour drive) This morning proceed to Gulmarg driving past the willow trees, fast fl owing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg - the ‘meadow of fl owers’ offers a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic pine trees. Stroll leisurely or take pony rides across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Course. A must is a fun-fi lled ride with compliments of Cox and Kings in the Gondola Lift upto Level 1. Return to your houseboat in the evening. Overnight stay in the houseboat (B, EL, D)

Day 3: In Srinagar This morning after transferring to your hotel proceed on a city tour visiting the Shankracharya Temple situated atop a hill. Return to the hotel for lunch. Later visit the famous Mughal Gardens - Chasmashahi, Nishad and Shalimar (closed on Friday). These gardens were where Mughal emperors once relaxed with their exquisite queens and even today are popular picnic spots. Buy some local hand crafted items from the local handicraft shops. The rest of the evening is free. Overnight stay at the hotel (B, L, D)

Day 4: In Srinagar • Day Excursion to Sonmarg (90 kms / approx. 3 hour drive) Today embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ - Sonmarg. The fast fl owing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fi shing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers. Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel (B, EL, D)

Day 5: On to Pahalgam (87 kms / approx. 3 ½ hour drive)Today depart for Pahalgam, the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confl uence of the streams fl owing from the river Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. En route visit the Awantipura Ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival into Pahalgam check into your hotel and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel (B, L, D)

Day 6: On to Katra (300 kms / approx. 9 hour drive) Early morning depart for Katra where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is free. Overnight stay at the hotel (B, D)

Day 7: In Katra • Trek to Mata Vaishnodevi (14 kms one way)As per your own preferred time, proceed to Banganga from where you will trek up the Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. There are many who journey here to pay obeisance regardless of their faith, class, caste or religion, for Mata Vaishnodevi transcends all such barriers. Return to your hotel after Darshan. Char Dham is referred to the four Hindu religious sites in Uttarakhand state of India. These are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath.
