What we do• HospiceCare is the main provider of palliative care in North

Northumberland delivering care and support to adults, their families and carers whose lives are affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses such as respiratory and heart disease, Motor Neurone Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

• We provide care and support for 300 patients & their families each year. Last year we provided 1576 hours of Hospice at Home care

• The services we offer Hospice at Home, Drop in and Therapeutic Clinics, Lymphoedema management, Bereavement Support

• Our team of around 50 volunteers save us over £100,000 per year • ‘Open Doors’ – self referrals or via professionals • All services are FREE! • We are a truly local charity providing a unique aluable service to

invaluable service to the local community.

How YOUR money will support us• Our annual running costs are around £330,000 – and last year we

received only 14% funding from the NHS, so we have to raise around £280,000 through fundraising, charitable trusts, legacies and community donations.

• £15 a month could help provide a night’s overnight end of care for a patient in their own home

• Last year we provided 1576 hours of overnight care• £5 per month us keep our phone lines open to patients and carers• Last year we delivered 328 hours giving Carers respite in their own

homes during the day or night.• Last Year Bereavement Support Service provided 506 hours of face-

to-face support, and 131 hours of telephone support• Please help us continue providing this support!

The Money Part

Option 1 • Self-Fund =Pay for the trip and raise a

target minimum sponsorship of £1500

Graham Parker of Travel Counsellors will be managing the trip on behalf of HospiceCare.

We are offering two options based on 10 people taking part in the trip

Option 2

Example:• Total cost £3900 ( cost of trip plus sponsorship)• Deposit £240 at time of booking – 31st May 2014• Minimum sponsorship of £2500 to be received at

HospiceCare by 31st July 2015 ( of which £1000 will be paid to Travel Counsellors)

• Further £1160 paid directly by participant to Travel Counsellors by Mid-August 2015

Option 2• Sponsorship – Minimum of £2500 of which £1000 can be

put towards trip cost
