FROZEN RIVER TREK, ZANSKAR
As the name suggests, this is the route which goes along the frozen Zanskar River. It's a minimum of a 6-day trek that connects the villages of the Zanskar Valley with the village of Chilling which lies on the road to Leh. In the month of late Jan and early Feb, the river gets freezed and it's used as a pathway by trekkers all around. An average of -10C during the day, and -20 to -25 at night makes trekking here an experience of lifetime. The toughness level of this trek certainly defines trekking in the Indian Himalayas.

GOECHA LA TREK
Located in the eastern India of Sikkim, The Goecha La trek (16,000ft/4876m) is said to be one of the toughest treks in India. This is certainly one of the best Himalayan trek. What's interesting about this trek? The journey is at first up an often muddy trail through thick rain forests and then gradually the lowland forest is replaced by beautiful Rhododendron forests. May is the ideal time to do this. An approx 8-day trek.

GANGOTRI GLACIER TREK
This trek is more of a visual treat. It will give you some spectacular views of Mount Shivling and the Bhagirathi group of mountains. A great trek to see one of the largest glaciers in the central Himalaya. It will also take you through river Ganga. Some 6-day trek, approximately.

MARKHA VALLEY
This is one of the very famous easiest treks to do in the Indian Himalayas. Acclimatization is must here as you reach the top like really quick. The trek itself involves crossing three passes – Stok La (4848 m), Kongmaru La (5274 m) and Gandla (4878 m) and follows the banks of the scenic Markha River Valley. Talking about the non-Indian Himalayas, the K2 Base camp trek of Pakistan, Kailash circuit in Tibet and the Everest base camp trek in Nepal are some of trekkers favored trails all around the world.
