While in Goa for your vacation, some of the things you can do are:

Try different Goan dishes

It doesn't matter what your budget is, you can walk into any restaurant or bar and get the tastiest Goan food. It is natural to despise cheap looking bars and restaurants but those are the places that serve authentic Goan cuisine. So if you don't have an ego, walk into one of them. You may not find table cloth or cutlery or waiters in bow ties inside, but you'll come out without any regrets for sure. Some of the things to try are Goan curry rice, Chicken / Pork Vindaloo, Chicken Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal, Sorpatel (a pig dish), Chourisaan (pork sausages), Fish Rechad and Fish / Prawn Balchao.

Have beer or red wine

Beer and red wine can lower the level of bad cholesterol, decrease the likelihood of blood clots, prevent heart disease and some forms of cancer. Try the local brands of wine. The only local brand of beer - Arlem is no longer in circulation, unfortunately. Don't have more than two glasses a day. Too much beer or red wine will cause damage to your body.

Take bath in the sea water

It feels nice to float in the chlorinated pool of the hotel or resort you are staying at with a book in hand. If possible try to take a bath in the salty sea water during all the days you are in Goa. It will do wonders to your body. Seawater has many many benefits. Never make the mistake of geting into the water after having alcoholic drinks.

Try parasailing

Parasailing is an activity which involves a person, a boat and a parachute. A person is attached to a parachute which is tied to a boat. When the boat takes off, the person soars in the air. If you have a fear of heights, this may be the time to get rid of it. One way to overcome fears is by facing them.

Buy Goan sweets

While you got the chance to enjoy Goa, think about those back home who could not come with you. Buy them some Goan sweets. Some of them are Bebinca, Dosh, Dodol, Bathk, Bolinhas, and Dodol.

Go to any bakery or cold storage and ask for Costa's Bebinca. Costa's is a business group which manufactures sweets (and canned food) on a mass scale while ensuring that the products taste like home made ones. Their packed stuff can be kept for few months.
