Penrith High School

This mansion used to stand in High St, Penrith and dated to 1880. It was originally known as "Horneyswood" and owned by the Tindale family. In 1902 it was bought by a Dr Barber who carried out extensive alterations and extensions to replicate an Irish castle which Barber had seen whilst holidaying in Ireland. The property was eventually sold to the education department and the house was subsequenlty demolished and the Penrith High School built on the site.

"Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A

farewell is necessary before you can

meet again. And meeting again, after

moments or lifetimes, is certain for

those who are friends."

Richard Bach

"I've learned that things change, people change, and it doesn't mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply means you move on and treasure the memories." -Alicia Boxer

"I'll remember the things I did for a while, but I'll remember the person I did them with forever."
