This frame from the opening sequence of sixth sense makes the audience think it is creepy and scary by the use of the shadow. People will often assume shadows are a bad thing in films as it portrayed as something scary. The loose frame also highlights this scary feel to it as you think that something else is going to come into shot.
The long shot here makes the character seem vulnerable and the audience automatically feel like she is the victim. As there is no one and nothing else within the shot it gives the impression that she is alone in a creepy basement which is seen as a scary environment to be alone in. the low key lighting also emphasises this as you cant see the while shot Cleary making you wonder what else is in there.
This shot has a completely different atmosphere to the previous ones. This shot seems happy and fun as it indicates creativeness and maybe a birthday as there are cards. This makes the viewer wonder why there was such a contrast in atmosphere. The diagonal close up was used to makes sure everything was in the frame as well as it being close enough to be seen.
Here is a match on action with the girl turning round to see what is behind her. This makes the audience anticipate what is behind her. This also makes the audience feel sympathy for the character because she is alone in an isolated dark place.
Here is another match on action. The camera is looking at the scene through a mirror then cuts to looking directly at the scene. This is interesting as it gives the audience a different perspective.
Again in the shot the camera is watching the scene through a mirror but then cuts away to watch the scene further away. This gives the impression that someone is watching them creating the tension that was seen at the beginning.

There was loud and jumpy music over the scene which built up tension when watching it. When the scene started there was no noise apart from an diaegetic sounds that were made like footsteps and creaking of the floor boards. Thus increased the tension and atmosphere as the audience would be waiting to find out what's going to happen and why there was tension building music at the beginning.
