Eid Mubarak (or ‘Eid’ for short) is the day which comes at the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting whom every muslims celebrates after one-
month fasting. They joy it with variety of activities. Starting from shopping for holiday needs, going back traditions for homeland (we called this “Mudik” in Bahasa), visiting their relatives and friends, as well as local consuetude where the elders hand out gifts to the children. Nevertheless, the most important of `Eid is all about forgiving people, just the way we would like God to forgive us. No matter how hard it may seem, it is possible to get rid of grudges and move on, forgetting the bad they did to us, despite still feeling the hurt and pain, and meeting them as if nothing sour ever happened.
In this edition, Streetbanditos will raise the snapshot about of Eid Mubarak and its traditional events featuring portraits of Muslims in Jakarta.

“Eid Arrives Soon”Part I
Last week before Eid, Indonesian Moslems getting excited to welcome and celebrate. People visiting the bustling markets, shopping centers and malls to buy holiday purposes, especially fashion. Stores, shopping centers, malls enliven
by giving discounts and massive sale.
Another crowd going before Eid is homecoming, a Moslem tradition urban cities in Indonesia. An annual tradition full of struggle. Queued train, so much luggage, stalled badly, transportation constraint are part of the struggle back and forth, and it is common for them. For those people, celebrating Eid at hometown is an obligation that has its
own meaning and happiness.
“The Day Of Victory”Part II
After 1 month of fasting comes the day that awaited by Moslems all over the world. Day full of joy, marked by beating Beduk while echoing Takbir
on the final day of fasting.
The next day, at about 6 am, Moslems flock to the location of the holding Eid prayers. Eid prayer is not to be held in the mosque, Eid prayer can be
done on the road, terrain or garden.
Jakarta then became deserted, like a ghost town during the day. No jams, no frenzied passing vehicles that is contrary to the city’s daily life.
Jakarta street activity predominantly filled by people who want to do the Eid traditions, such as
pilgrimage or visiting relatives.
“Stay in touch and start over from scratch”
Part III
Eid is nature of victory over lust, again gather with family and forgiveness. Mutual apology by shaking hands and visiting each other.
In addition to the above interactions, interactions that occur during Eid Holidays are a great family gathering event. Eat and taking photo together, chatting with the whole family is the long-awaited
