1st • The function of a Music video is to 1st of all

promote the artist.

• Usually, the main purpose of the music video is to only promote the artist and the artist is to make the record label as much money as possible.

2nd • Not all music videos have the same Genre and

sometimes the music video and Genre doesn’t always seem to be from the same genre. Dubstep videos are usually to entertain. This is because dubstep is dance music and doesn’t always mean the artists has to be in the video because the main thing which is important is the music.

• A music video is to symbolize greater of bigger things. Artists use videos to make arguments about themselves also a chance to state their opinions and views.

4th • Music videos are also there to evoke emotion in

the audience. A lot of artists use their videos to get people thinking about certain situations and things that go around the world.

5th• Artists also use music videos to represent

themselves and sometimes as a sex object. For example some female artists such as Nicki Minaj. This has become her unique selling point.
