Handloom industry covers Jamdani , Benaroshi, Lungi, Cloths, gamcha, chaddar , Mosquito net etc.

0.183 million handloom units , 0.505 million handlooms , about 1 million handloom weavers

A manpower of about 1 million weavers, dyers, hand spinners, embroiderers .

0.30 million active looms to produce around 687 million meters of fabrics annually.

Among all the handloom products Jamdani, Benaroshi, Lungi are most exported

Now a days handloom products are being produced by machine thus it’s a threat to our tradition.
