The Project• SCO received FGDC

funding to create a statewide aerial imagery business plan

• Hired a consultant to help with information gathering and plan development

• YOU are critical to the process

Desired End Results• A plan that addresses

both short-term (2015) and long-term (2020+) needs

• A process that can be applied to other data themes in the future

• A “waypoint” for all of us to navigate towards

What does a business plan look like?

• What do you want?

• What are the steps needed to get there?

• Who will do the work?

• What will it cost?

Why a Business Plan?• Leaders and managers expect

it when you ask for resources

• We must cooperate to survive

• How can you develop a budget without a plan?

• 2015 will sneak up on us quickly

What can you do?
