WE’RE TURNING 150 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR, BUT SOME SIDES OF MORLEY REMAIN A MYSTERY. HERE’S YOUR GUIDE TO A FEW OF OUR EXPLOITS – PAST AND PRESENT.
Morley family members chartered Second National Bank.
The nation’s first car sale via international phone call was placed from Morley’s office.
We were the world’s largest distributor of many products, including the then-popular RCA Victor brand.
NASCAR champion Tony Stewart attended our annual
associate vehicle show.
We rocked the Detroit Historical Museum with the design, fabrication and installation of the Kid Rock Music Lab.
Vice President Joe Biden visited Saginaw to recognize Morley for its
growth during the economic downturn. Harry Smith featured this event on
Good Morning America the next day.
On our 25-acre, 400,000-square-foot, four-building campus,
1,500 associates continue to champion the Morley Gold
Standard® of service that our founders initiated 150 years ago.
We started out as a hardware store, and by 1892, became the 2nd largest hardware distributor in the U.S.

We helped a client motivate 16,000 of its distributors
with a Vegas meeting and getaway – possibly the largest
group travel program up to that point in history.
Morley staff doubled. With urban revitalization in mind, we transformed a roller rink into our new HQ, later incorporating a former health club and a former Fortune 500 phone company building to accommodate our expansion in a sustainable way.
