Ocean acidification
• Unique systems to deliver measured quantities of CO2 to seawater
• Can be modified to look at SOx

Disinfectants approval scheme
• Defra has an existing scheme – this did not cover fish and shellfish diseases
• Cefas adapted existing CEN standards for use to approve disinfectants for aquaculture
• Cefas is one of a small number of labs that are able to do the testing under the scheme
– Disinfectants Listing scheme (launched Jan 2010) is a non statutory means of publicly listing disinfection products.
• Cost is based on individual requirements • No standard price; no price list
• Typically quote for several study variations e.g.. Options A, B, C
• Quality assurance – Internal QA (optional) typically 10% additional cost• Study delivered to agreed timetable, specifications & cost
