COMPLEMENTARY ANGLES:

If the sum measures of two angle is 90 the angles are

called complementary angles. Fo example: 45

+45 =90 OR 35 + 65 =90

SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES

If the sum measures of two angles is 180 are called

supplementary angles. For example 90 + 90= 180 OR

120 + 60 = 180

LINER PAIRS: A linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles angles

whose non common sides are opposite rays are

known as linear pairs.

ADJACENT ANGLES:

Adjacent angles have a common vertex and a common arms but no

common interior points

TRANSVERSAL LINES

A lines which intersects two or

more lines at distinct points is called a

transversal.

MEDIANS OF A TRIANGLE

A line segment AD, joining the mid point of

BC to its positive vertex. A is called the median of

a triangle.

ALTITUDES OF A TRIANGLE

An altitude has one end point at a vertex of the triangle and the other on the line

containing the opposite side. Through each vertex, an

altitude can be drawn.
