CULTURE OF TURKEY

The flag of turkey consists of a red base with a white crescent moon and five-point star towards the left side of the flag.

Red is the traditional Islamic color and the crescent and star ancient symbols of Islam and are considered to be signs of good luck.

Turkey is a nation straddling eastern Europe and western Asia with cultural connections to ancient Greek, Persian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires.
