I CURRENTLY LIVE IN MILWAUKEE, WI

AND WORK FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION AS A TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER

The name Milwaukee comes from the Native American word “Milliocki” meaning gathering place by the water

I MY CITY

In fact, I love all cities—the buildings, places, infrastructure and everything that makes

cities unique. However, without people cities are nothing. I want to discover how

people make cities tick and I figure I’ll spend the rest of my life searching.

2008 MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY GRAD, BSCE CONCENTRATION IN TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING

I spent two amazing weeks serving in a makeshift dental clinic, a children’s hospital and a nursing home in Kingston, Jamaica. You can find me volunteering throughout the Milwaukee area from meal kitchens to the Milwaukee Mass Portrait in the Menomonee Valley. Wherever I go, I’ll quickly become engaged within the community.

This is where I learned to apply my engineering skills to the real world—how people and the built environment interact. As a result, I can view and solve problems from both a planner and engineer’s perspective.

WHAT SETS ME APART

Unique educational combination of Transportation Engineering + Urban Planning

Experience with communicating complex issues to the public

Conducted transit and roadway planning and engineering efforts from the policy level down to the functional level

Highly organized with a panache for finding efficiencies in perennial projects

Ability to work and track multiple projects while maintaining deadlines

Independent – completed high-level work without review

Positive, team orientated work ethic
