Exploring SAP HANA Capabilities and SAP HANA Modeling

In This Session

Participants will explore the interaction between the latest SAP technology and integration with BO Explorer and WebI, run through an entire data loading process, create ad hoc reports, and explore business information. Topics covered in the hands-on exercises include:

• Creating attribute and analytics views so you can use these views to create an InfoSpace to analyze your data within BO Explorer

• Using SAP Data Services to import data from flat files

• Creating a customer attribute table, a product attribute table, and a sales transaction data table using different data types and setting keys

• Creating a Web Intelligence report based on data within SAP HANA

• Exploring the system landscape organization by adding systems and exporting and importing systems

SAP HANA Training Exercises Basic 1 Exercise

Add a connection in HANA Studio, display table definitions, view table contents, view the system overview using the Administration Console and display an attribute view from the Modeler perspective

Basic 2 Exercise Creating tables within SAP HANA

Studio. You will create a customer attribute table, product attribute table and a sales transaction data table using different data types and setting keys

It is recommended to complete each exercise sequentially in order to fully understand the material.

Intermediate 3 Exercise Use BO Data Services to

import data using flat files and create a batch job to complete the data import

Intermediate 4 Exercise Create attribute and analytic

views so you can use these views to create an InfoSpace to analyze your data within BO Explorer

Basic 5 Exercise Open BO Explorer and create
