LO: To weigh objects and read a scale

Let's have a quick recap of yesterday's learning

Answer these questions in your exercise book

Answers:

1. See the red line on the bottle

2. The scale starts at 10ml, so you could assume each line is 10ml which means that the jug contains 30ml.

3. Pencil = 6cm

Crayon = 5cm

One of the reasons we need to read and understand scales practically is when we are baking and cooking.

Today's Maths lesson is going to be a practical one.

With the help of a grown up I would like you to follow a recipe and make or bake something to eat and enjoy together as a family.

Feel free to follow a recipe of your choice or you could use one of the recipes I've included on the next few slides.

Banana chocolate ice lollies

3 large bananas

100g full fat plain yogurt

1 tbsp vanilla extract

100g dark chocolate

2 tbsp coconut oil

Sprinkles or chopped nuts for the topping
