• next 2 weeks going cover amazing info in the Word will build knowledge of scripture, will build faith in salvation that is wrought in Christ,

• through a study of the Bible through the lens of “God is Love.”

• Whenever build belief, HAS to align with that.

• That foundational truth.

• Love is what saved us.

• ” The more we know of God, the higher will be our ideal of character and the more earnest our longing to reflect His likeness.”

• Seen in my life, goal to lift Him up so can be seen in all.

• As we begin, establish few things.

We Want to Establish a Few Things:

1. The Bible, BOTH the OLD and NEW testaments, are the inspired word of God.

• I make point because heard no OT anymore

• Was for Jews

• Jesus said something amazing in reference to them.

“Search the scriptures; for

in them ye think ye have

eternal life: and they are

they which testify of me.”

John 5:39

• Scriptures was OT

• Spoke of Him, we see that this seminar

• Continued few verses later

For had ye believed Moses,

ye would have believed me:

for he wrote of me. But if ye

believe not his writings, how

shall ye believe my words?

John 5:46,47

• No OT wont believe Him.

• Every time scriptures talked about, remember no NT, talking about OT

• Epistles letters

• Many prophecies be from OT we see amazing revelations of Jesus

We Want to Establish a Few Things:

1. The Bible, BOTH the OLD and NEW testaments, are the inspired word of God.

2. Jesus Christ is the long awaited Messiah, prophesied in the Old testament

• Most here prob believe, but evidence from Word

• We can believe, but must know from scripture.

• Faith always based in scripture.

• 3rd point we need consider…

We Want to Establish a Few Things:

1. The Bible, BOTH the OLD and NEW testaments, are the inspired word of God.

2. Jesus Christ is the long awaited Messiah, prophesied in the Old testament

3. There is a war going on today all around us.

• As title indicates, and we can see, there is war.

• Many different thoughts, prophecy will reveal

• Christianity only with Proph not fulfilled lifetime.

• Shame we don’t study more

• That how God sets Himself apart.

• Prophecy is our way marker, helps us see we on right path.

• Over 300 proph fulfilled life of Jesus

Isa. 61:1,2 His Ministry 4 Gospels

His ministry:

• The first words that Luke records Jesus as speaking in His ministry are a quote from the proph Isaiah.

“The Spirit of the

Lord GOD is

upon me;

because the

LORD hath

anointed me to

preach good

tidings unto the Isa. 61:1,2

meek; he hath

sent me to bind

up the

brokenhearted, to

proclaim liberty

to the captives,

and the opening

of the prison to Isa. 61:1,2

them that are

bound; To

proclaim the

acceptable year

of the LORD, and

the day of

vengeance of our

God; Isa. 61:1,2

to comfort all that

mourn;”

Isa. 61:1,2

• And showed love to the unloved.

• He fulfilled that as well.

• The proph look tonight, my opinion most amazing

• Makes all others date sensitive

• Sets time frame they must be fulfilled by.

Time

Prophecy

• Time proph, as name suggest, is prophthat gives specific time of fulfillment

• We see Jesus alluded to fact that His life was based on one in His 1st recorded words by mark

“And saying,

The time is

fulfilled, and

the kingdom

of God is at

hand.”- Mark 1:15

• Jesus came right on time, Bible predicted it

• Paul also makes statement in Gal

“When the

fulness of the

time was

come, God

sent forth his

Son…”- Gal. 4:4

Daniel 9

• Rabbinical curse placed on anyone calculating time of this proph.

• Context…

• Dan 8 vision, message troubles Dan, faints without understanding all.

• We study future night

• Dan 9 starts Dan praying, beautiful prayer

• Sake time pick up verse 21

Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

Daniel 9:21

And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

Daniel 9:22

• Seen beginning, last vision

• Comes to give understanding, explains further.

At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shewthee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Daniel 9:23

• God hears and answers prayers

• Understand vision, no vision given, must be previous

• Will study that also another night

• Now Gabe goes into explanation

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city…

Dan 9:24

• Who Dan people?

• Proph for Jews

• Look at time period…

• Not even 1.5 year.

• Yet look what supposed to happen…

to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness,

-Dan 9:24

and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

-Dan 9:24

• That’s a tall order.

• All things accomplished in 1.5 years?

• Look at last point, anoint Most Holy, history that didn’t happen til 500 yrs later.

• What that mean?

• Principle of prophetic interpretation. Used often in time proph.

And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Ezekiel 4:6

After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years…

Numbers 14:34

1 prophetic day = 1 literal year

Ezek. 4:6 /Num. 14:34

• Doesn’t do much good don’t know when start.

Jesus Christ

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Matthew 21:43

• So we see the Bible in these 4 short verses, declared the year of Jesus baptism and death and what He do for us.

• I said proph was a dif we had w/ other relig.

• SLIDE OF CROSS

• Have another dif

• We have God who died for us.

• Selflessly gave for us

• He gave up everything to come here and die for us.

• Not only so, but we are the only religion w/ empty tomb

• But the greatest witness we have that God is love is seen in this…

Christ was treated as we deserve,

that we might be treated as He

deserves.

He was condemned for our sins, in

which He had no share,

that we might be justified by His

righteousness, in which we had no

share.

He suffered the death which was

ours, that we might receive the life

which was His.

“With His stripes we are healed.”
