Initial Course Enrollment
The first time you logon and click on “My Pathway” you will see the screen at right.
You must enroll in the Benchmark or Mentor*.
Click on “Course Catalog” to go to the Catalog containing the Benchmark and Mentor to enroll.

The Catalog screen shows the various courses you can enroll in.
To enroll in a Benchmark course, click on Internet and Computing Benchmark.
To enroll in a Mentor course, click on Internet and Computing Mentor.

This is the Benchmark Catalog screen - there are 3 different IC3 modules available to enroll in.
To enroll in a Benchmark course, click Enroll beside the module you would like to add to your pathway.

You can return to the My Pathway - Catalog screen to enroll in further courses.
The course you chose is automatically launched. You may use it immediately or go back to the Catalog and enroll in further courses.

Definition of the Sections of the IC3 Syllabus
The IC3 specification defines the sections of the syllabus and the topics covered in a four level structure: Modules, Domains within Modules, Objectives within Domains, Topics/Skill-sets within Objectives.
For each Skill-set in the IC3 Syllabus, there is a corresponding question in the Benchmark and Mentor Assessment.
There are a total of 221 questions in the syllabus; 61 in Computing Fundamentals, 87 in Key Applications and 73 in Living Online.

The Benchmark reports give you an overview of how you are doing.
Benchmark reports are at the Domain level of the IC3 syllabus.

Reports may be saved to your computer by clicking Save.
