SELECTION PROCESS

• 60 Transferable Semester Units (90 Quarter Units)

• 2.0 GPA (2.40 for non-residents)

• Completion of Breadth Requirement (C grade or better)

• Must be in good standing at the last college or university attended

SELECTION APPEAL PROCESS

• A written Statement which clearly and concisely presents your basis of appeal.

• Academic records which were not available at the time of application.

• If you are submitting additional academic records, your Statement should include an explanation of why the additional information was not available at the time of application.

• Official documentation of extenuating circumstances (for example: doctors' records, death certificates, etc.).

COMMON MISTAKES THAT LEAD TO APPEALS

• Missing Advertised Deadlines

• Failure to identify and submit transcripts from ALL schools attended

• Not completing the Intent to Enroll process

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES• Fall Semester Priority Filing: October 1 –

November 30

• CSUDH Counselors Day: October 6, 2011

• A Day at Dominguez: October 29, 2011

• Intent to Enroll: May 1, 2012

• Document Deadline: July 15, 2012 Incomplete students by Feb. 1st

• Orientation (recommended): May – August (Specific dates TBA in

spring 2012)

• Housing: April 15, 2012 (Application and $30.00 application fee must be received by this date)

It is crucial for students to activate their MyCSUDH account as soon as they receive their log-in information and check their CSUDH ToroMail often. This will allow them the most up to date information on Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and important services and resources.
