Hello! I am Isabella Cinà, a second year student at the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture. This portfolio is a collection of my work to date.
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student and I am very excited to become immersed in the cre-ative process of design in the work force. I am a fast learner and enjoy picking up new systems and concepts. I am a motivated student and an enthu-siastic personality with a passion for all forms of learning and new experiences; all I need is an op-portunity.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my portfolio. Enjoy!

PALLET CAPSULEPRE-FABRICATED HOUSE- TRANSITIONAL SPACES
IN COLLABORATION WITH:
The design for this project developed from two ideas: shipping crates and inf inite space. This pre-fabricated capsule was designed to be extra small and eff icient for a nomadic l i festyle and to accommodate a community based environment . The spaces transit ion into each other creating a l in-ear f low between the private and publ ic . These extra small l iv ing units are also designed to be environmental ly sustainable through the use of natural l ight ing and venti lat ion, as wel l as passive heating and cool ing systems.

VISION OF SETTLEMENTCERAMIC SUBURBIA
The purpose of this progect is to take a suburban area in Cambrige, Ontario and densify the liv-able space by 1.2. By playing with public and private spaces within each individual dwelling, and on the whole site, a greater sense of community is attained between the old and the new resi-dences.

THE CAVEA HOUSE FOR A ROCK & MINERAL COLLECTOR
This is a house designed for a rock and mineral collector. The private and public spaces are organized into a specific hierar-chy throughout the house. There are two seperate entrances; the first leads into an underground public exhibition space that also includes a personal workshop for the owner. The second is a private entrance into the semi-private living spaces. Finally the upper level is a private loft that opens up to a rock garden on the roof.

2. MEASUREMENT - Without breaking the cast, sections and plans are extracted through a variety of measuring techniques.
3. TRANSFORMATION - This is a study of the measured drawings using a series of repetitions, reflections, distortions, and ro-tations.
4. SCULPTURE - Extracting information from the transformation study, a paper sculpture is created without the use of any adhesives.
