Domestic violenceis a leading cause of

family homelessness. Over 30% of families

in New York Cityshelters are

fleeing abuse.

At the end of their time-limited shelter

stay, families too often find

themselves homeless again.

New Destiny addresses this challenge – the need for safe, affordable permanent housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

At the heart of our work is our

service-enrichedaffordable housing.

Our trauma-informed services foster

long-term stabilityand help survivors

begin new lives.

We help foster community and

new support networks for

adults and children.

We empowertenants to build safe futures for

themselves and their children.

Each year nearly all the households in our buildings remain stable andfree from violence.

• 2 joint ventures in development with 146 units for households headed by domestic violence survivors

HousingLinkconnects homeless and

low-income domestic violence survivors to safe, affordable

housing and provides aftercare to foster housing stability.

HousingLink’s success has been recognized by

the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development

with a $997,000 grant.
