Shin-yeon Kang - Portfolio 7 of 10
B. BACK PICADDILY ARCADEIntroduces porosity through:1) The arcade, a flexible space changing over time: a terrace, a space for exhibition of products, a protected space for city dwellers... 2) The terrace: on the upper floors, draws visitors in a semi-public environment. A common space for the people using the upper floors.3) The passage: enables people to cut across the building from Piccadilly street to Back-Piccadilly thus generating footfall and a new route.
