MEETING AGENDA
04/10/2018
Lively Technical Center
Pledge to the Flag: Everyone
Moment of Silence: Everyone
Welcome: Ken Hart welcomed to all visitors and introductions. Michael McCammon and his
fiancé Becky were introduced, Michael is the son of Mac MacCammon.
Announcements & Reports: Pam Pumphrey offered a heartfelt thank you to everyone for
their dedication and participation in the Honor Flight Car Show and help with set up and clean
up. Monetarily and otherwise the Car Show was a great success with $8,868.51 being raised
to benefit Honor Flight Tallahassee. This total consisted of sponsor money ($2,825), 140 regis-
tered cars ($1,400), car show t-shirts ($831), Nell Hollingworth’s quilt raffle ($87), 50/50 raffle
($235), Honor Flight t-shirts ($582), donations for food, sweets, and popcorn and other mis-
cellaneous donations. Special thanks to Jack Hanbury for “training” the Car Show judges who
were prior Honor Flight veterans and to Joe Wells for his invaluable assistance.
Bill O’Rourke gave an overview of the Mobile Car Show; the local car club has only 37 mem-
bers. Although small, the Car Show was fun and a success.
Jack Hanbury and John Schanbacher attended the car show in Charlotte. John reported that
although often called “Moultrie x 20”) the day was cold and rainy which held the numbers
down.
Committee Reports:
Sunshine: Pam Pumphrey reported that Lori Forster’s dad recently passed away and Club
member Ronald Levy passed on March 30. Ron’s friend Don Alexander was given Ron’s die
cast model car collection which Don brought to the meeting for members to choose a car as a
way to remember Ron. Thank you, Ron and Don. Members are asked to let Pam Pumphrey
know if they know anyone would like to be remembered with a card.
Treasurer's Report: Norm Madsen presented the treasurer’s report. Details can be ob-
tained from Norm.

Tour Committee: The tour committee has not met since its last meeting but has planned a number
of tours for 2018. Norm Madsen will send out final details. There followed a discussion of the Madi-
son Down Home Days on April 21. Members concluded that those interested would meet at the
Vineyards Publix at 8:15 on April 21, leave around 8:45 for Madison and enjoy the best car parade
around which is described as “a few miles or 15 minutes long, or whichever occurs first”.
Kathy Madsen discussed the Milltown Murals Motorcade this upcoming weekend (April 14) in down-
town Lakeland, Georgia.
Nell Hollingsworth reminded members of the Havana rally every 3rd Saturday from 4 – 7 pm.
Show Committee: Craig McCollum reported on planning efforts for the Watermelon Festival to be
held on the 3rd Saturday in June in Monticello. Details and the division of duties and outstanding tasks
will be provided in detail at the May Club meeting. Trophies and prizes are always needed.
Some members did not receive the email invitation to the Cairo, Georgia Southern Antique Car
Show and Rally.
Other Committees:
Membership – Ken Hart reported that one new member was signed up at the Honor Flight Show;
she was given the complimentary national membership for new members (but the Club has not re-
ceived it yet). The complimentary national membership forms for new members for 2018 have been
used. There are special rates for students and veterans. An application was provided to Michael
McCammon during the meeting.
Business cards are available to members from Ken Hart. They need to be reordered soon.
Clothing – Don and Chantel Romaine have graciously taken on this effort; they have some clothing
items in stock and are ready to take orders. They brought some available items to the meeting for
purchase and sales were brisk. Upon motion by Norm Madsen and second by John Wells, Don Ro-
maine is authorized to order up to $500 of clothing items to maintain an inventory and upon deple-
tion by sale of those items Don is authorized to replenish the inventory of clothing items in the same
amount without further motion. The motion was approved by unanimous vote.

Drink koozies have been received for use in future shows and to give to members. Cost of the koozies and cloth-
ing exceeded the amount previously authorized. Upon motion by Jack Hanbury and second by Norm Madsen,
payment of those overage amounts to Ken Hart (koozies) and Don Romaine (clothing) was unanimously ap-
proved.

Old Business: Lively Technical Center is now the meeting location of the Club for the foreseeable future. The
Club has signed an agreement and provided insurance through June 2018. It is anticipated the agreement will be
renewed after July as it in aligned with the Leon County school year.
Ken and the Club will continue to work with Chef Benny on the menu. Most meals will continue to be in the $10
to $12 range. Members have been very pleased with the food. Jack Hanbury has big plans for the July meeting and
cookout at his house; members appear to be very interested in having the Christmas party in December at the
meeting location at Lively Technical Center.
Ken Hart advised that in early May he will call for a Board meeting to discuss officers for 2019 (the Board is in
charge of the nomination of officers’ process which includes President, Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor,
and Webmaster) and other matters.
New Business: Neal Davis reminded everyone of the dedication and hard work of Jack Hanbury over many years
to move the Club forward, cultivate the relationship with Lively Technical Center and others over the years, and
was instrumental in establishing scholarships to two deserving students enrolled in the automotive program at
Lively Technical Center. Therefore, it was deservedly fitting that Neal Davis offered a motion that hereafter the
scholarships funded by the Club be named the “Jack Hanbury Technical Scholarship”. The motion was seconded
by Nell Hollingsworth and unanimously approved. Congratulations and many thanks to Jack Hanbury!
Program: Photos from Honor Flight were shown throughout the meeting.
Next Meeting: The next meeting will be Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Lively Technical Center. The meeting rooms
are on campus in the culinary school center which is in Building 3. Please see previous emails for directions.
