Heatfrom page 1Bnine-run lead after just two innings.

With two homeruns in two innings, there was a realization awakened thatthis 2015 version of the Heat will beamassing several more total basesfrom the hitters compared to lastyear’s club.

“I believe we’re gonna swing it thisyear,” said Owner and Head CoachRick Twyman. “We coaches talked itover and decided we’d try to go big. Itwas a little frustrating in 2014 for us.We didn’t get the production wethought we should. This year we arebig and physical.”

The Heat kept getting physical inthe later innings with Lacy adding atriple to his night’s work and Mausethjoining the homerun parade with aneighth inning shot.

The bullpen was unleashed for theHeat and no less than four relieversgot to stretch out their arms to closeDenver out. “Kirby Schwein came onand gave a good effort along withCale Russel in the middle innings,”coach Niesius noted. “Ruben Rinconlooked sharp and Jaren Drummondclosed out well for us.”

The coaches reported there is stillno time-table for popular relieverRobbie Romero’s return from anelbow ailment. “We’ll just have to seeabout Robbie,” who played for Nie-sius at Friends University. “If he can’tgo, we’ll go with what we have.”

What the 2015 Heat seem to have isthe long ball and strong arms in the ar-senal. The fielding as always in base-ball will be a work in progress. Thehome squad did commit a few errorsin the game so there is room for im-provement.
