Power AutomationProgress. It‘s that simple.

Recommended Commissioning and Diagnostic Tools

1.) Networkview to visualize all participants in the network

2.) WEB Monitor to have access to commissioning aids supportedby SIPROTEC-devices

3.) IEC Browser to communicate, based on MMS communication, between client and server

4.) TFTP to get or load the configuration file of the switch

5.) EN100 homepage shows commisioning data, error data and statisticdata as well

6.) module infodisplay shows module parameter

7.) SNMP8) Ethereal9.) Kema Analyzer/Observer10.) PING11.) Firmware update

1.) Networkview www.networkview.com

Start\Programs\networkview

The program identifies all IP-addressesConfigurations can be saved and printed outDirect access to all participants with right mouse-click via telnet or http

1.) Networkview www.networkview.com

License:

The program can be run without any license (old version V 2.03)

There will be some hints that you are using an unregistered version

If you have a registered license, the key must be copied in installation-roote.g. C:\program files\networkview\

The Online Mode

Edit => Monitor Nodes ( adjust the scanning cycle for the polling of all devices)

The recommended polling cycle (10 s ) depends on the no. of devices. Theshorter the polling time the higher the network data flow, i.e. if you have200 devices you should set the polling time to 60-120 seconds. The default timeout shouldn‘t be changed

4.) TFTP Trivial File Transfer Program

to get the configuration file of the switch

To get the file:tftp 192.168.1.21 get config.csv c:\temp\config.csv

IP-Address Destination Folder

Editing the config.csvwe recommend Excel or notepad

For diagnosis (syslog.txt and crashlog.txt):i.e. tftp 192.168.1.21 get syslog.txt c:\temp\syslog.txt

4.) TFTP Trivial File Transfer Program

to load the configuration file to the switch

Attention:In the switch (IP Services) the tftp-access must beEnabled

To load the file:tftp 192.168.1.21 put c:\temp\config.csv config.csv

IP-Address Source Folder

Editing the config.csvwe recommend thenotepad-program

FEC-Statistics

RSTP-Role Chan1/2 = Alternate/RootIf theSIPROTEC 4 devices are arranged in a ring, and the ring is closed

and connected to the external switches which are also on, one device on the FEC side must always display the above text. If none of the devices in the ring does, the ring is physically broken.FilterSymErrCntChan1/2 = 0/2753

If these two counters are incremented during stable operation of thedevice, and with neither of the two adjacent devices turned off, there is a poor FO connection. This can be due to an excessive attenuation by thecoupling devices, or to a defective cable.FNS queue overflow = 0If this display is not equal zero, this suggests that there are circulatingbroadcast telegrams.Frames Loss = 0A value that is not zero indicates circulating multicast telegrams.
