A multi-purpose import terminal, handles 5 main different types of commodities: grain, cement and bi-product, sulphur, and cokes.
Goals– Fulfill modern environmental regulations– Accommodate up to 3.5 times more than the current volume– New infrastructure and equipment will be deployed– Large improvement of the service level
Scope – Berth utilisation– Equipment – Operational strategies– Area planning

Conclusions and recommendations
Conclusions
TBA - A systematic approach to creating data-driven master plan for import terminals - TOC Europe 2018 19
Import dry bulk terminals face many challenges and have little control on various aspects.
A master plan is for the future situations; however it impacts on current and future operations/situations.
A systematic approach supported by dynamic simulation models is recommended for a master plan.
