Bachelor of Engineering (BE)

► High school prerequisites:

Maths B, English, Chemistry or Physics

(Maths C recommended)

Academic Requirements

► Results in Year 12 as projected by Principal

► Overall: at least HA in five subjects ► For BE: at least HA in Maths B and least HA

in Physics or Chemistry

► For BInfTech: at least HA in Maths B

► No need to study Aerospace

DIRECT ENTRY TO UQ

► Recommendation from Principal

► Evident strong interest in engineering and/or information technology studies through demonstrated participation in school, extracurricular activities related to the nominated degree program

► Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated potential for leadership

PROCEDURES

► Apply for Direct Entry through your School

► Schools should submit nominations to the Project Manager Aerospace Gateway Program by 6 September 2013

► Apply to QTAC as normal (30 Sept deadline)

► UQ will communicate the University’s commitment of a place in the appropriate degree to the successful students and also advise unsuccessful students early in Term 4.

► UQ Admissions will ensure that successful students’ matching applications through QTAC will be identified and result in a formal offer of places at UQ.

SCHOLARSHIPS ► UQ’s Academic Excellence Scholarship program aims

to recognise and reward the achievements of outstanding school leavers. Over 300 scholarships will be awarded for study in 2013. 

► Vice Chancellor's Scholarships  $12,000 per year for up to 5 years

► UQ Excellence Scholarships$6,000 per year for the duration of the program

► UQ Merit Scholarships $6,000 for the first year of study
