CHURCH MEETING

Church Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 7th at 10am. All members are encouraged to attend. Agenda items for consideration should be submitted to the church office no later than noon, Thursday February 4th.

YOUTH MINISTRY First Friday (February 6th): Come and enjoy a hands – on and interactive study entitled: “A Mile in My Shoes.” Good friends and good food will be present too! Gain insights into our Church-wide theme of “Serving to Glorify God (1 Peter 4:11).” 2015 Youth (6th thru 8th Graders) Lock-in: Sign up today after the 8am and 11am services! This is the last Sunday to register. Join us in a joyful experience through this year's theme from Friday, February 20th (5pm) to Saturday, Febru-ary 21st (9:30am). There will be fun, fellowship and exciting sessions. The cost is $20 and registration forms are available in the Narthex and on-line. Save the Date: The 2015 Youth (9th thru 12th Graders) Retreat has been scheduled for April 10-11. Sign-ups will begin next month.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.: The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, is providing applications in the Narthex for the 2015 Frederick D. Essex Memorial Scholarships. The applicants must be graduating African American males with at least a 3.0 grade point average from Prince William County or Stafford County high schools. All other pertinent infor-mation is stated in the application.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.: Col-lege scholarship applications from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Omi-cron Chi Omega Chapter, are available in the Narthex. Four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to selected students who will be attending Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs) and one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a selected student who will be attending a non-HBCU. All other pertinent information is on the application.

WICA: Scholarship applications from Women In Community Action (WICA) are available in the Narthex for 2015 high school graduates in Prince William County and surrounding areas with at least a 3.0 grade point average. These scholarships are named in the honor of the founders of WICA: Fannie W. Fitzgerald, Clara L. Harris, and the Late Deloris Hampton and Mary Williams. Other pertinent information for applicants to follow are on the applica-tions.
