Survey is being conducted in three phases:
• 2011/2012 – Northern Ontario (4 crossings, 8900 surveys)
• 2012/2013 – Niagara (4 crossings, 33,000 surveys)
• 2014 – St Lawrence & Detroit/Port Huron (6 crossings, 30,000 surveys (est.))
• Fall 2014/Spring 2015 integrate data, prepare for model traffic assignments
Collect information on:
• Where (trip origin/destination, intermediate stops)
• What (type of vehicle)
• Who (how many travellers per vehicle)
• Why (purpose of travel and crossing preferences)
• When (time/date of travel and how often)
