CLASS XII CBSE RESULT
The School has given an exceptionally brilliant result
in Class XII – CBSE 2019 with Aakriti Kiran acing
the Humanities stream in Gurugram at 99.2% and
being ranked 4th in India. She is followed by Nandita
Bhardwaj at 96.4 % and Ishi Jamdagni at 96.2%. In
Commerce Tanvi Anand has topped in Gurugram at
97.8% and is closely followed by Monis Lamba at
96.8 % and Keshav Maheshwari at 96.6%. Along-
side these are Science toppers Shreya Jathvedan and
Shubh Bhalla, tied at 97.2% and Pulkit Goyal at
96.8%. 308 candidates appeared in all streams,
achieving a 100% pass percentage and succeeding in
getting a whopping 41 Hundreds in diverse subjects
like Maths, Chemistry, Economics, Business Studies,
History, Legal Studies, Psychology, Physical Educa-
tion, Informatics Practices and Home Science. Also
a stunning 50 students have scored over 95%, 103
students- 90-95%, 86 students – 80 to 90% and only
56 between 70 to 80% .With a colossal 275 Distinc-
tions and a prodigious School Average of 86.96 %;
307 students scored a 1st division and only 1 scored
a 2nd division.

CLASS X CBSE RESULT Amity International School, Sector-46, Gurgaon has
achieved an astounding Class X CBSE Board result in the
session 2018-19. Pia Gupta and Yatee Sukhani were the
Gurugram district toppers with 99.4% aggregate and were
also ALL INDIA RANK III, scoring an unbelievable
497/500. The school average was a whopping 91.4%. 68
students achieved perfect 100 score in various subjects while
132 students achieved 99/100 in various subjects. The school
has 100% first divisions and 97.9% students have scored
distinctions. The school has achieved 36 perfect 100 scores
in Mathematics, 13 perfect 100 scores in English, 2 perfect
100 scores in Hindi, 4 perfect 100 scores in Science, 8 per-
fect 100 scores in Social Studies, 4 perfect 100 scores in
French and 1 perfect 100 score in Sanskrit. Adding to the
accolades of the toppers and the school, Amitians such as
Gaurav Dahiya, Vivek Yadav and Varsha Dalal overcame
their personal struggles and achieved spectacular results.
Gaurav Dahiya who belonged to the EWS quota had an im-
pressive score of 81.4% despite suffering from the learning
disability of Dyslexia. Vivek Yadav also fought Dyslexia
and had a superb score of 92.4% with a 99/100 score in FIT.
Varsha Dalal who belonged to the EWS quota worked hard
and achieved a perfect 100 in Hindi along with a phenome-
nal aggregate of 97.2%. The stupendous result of the school
has shown that nothing is impossible and that ‘The sky is the
limit’, a motto which the Amitians will keep on pursuing in
all their future endeavours as well.
EUROFEST 2018—19
The School takes pride in nurturing not
only academic brilliance but also instil-
ling in its students, a sense of social and
moral responsibility of the milieu around
them. Students of Amity’ 46 participated in
Eurofest 2018-19, held at St Petersburg Russia.
81 teams from all of the world participated in
the international even. Amity’ 46 team worked
with the teams from Russia and Romania and won 3rd position in Division 3 and 4. Language barrier, sleep-
less nights to prepare for the competition and cold weather nothing could hold us back and AISG 46 re-
turned as a champion. We presented a skit, a dance and an original song with all new props made in 2 days
in Russia itself.

Young Researchers of Natural Sciences 2019(YRONS)- an International
Seminar on Innovative Science Projects was held at Amity International
School Amsterdam with the theme- The World of Colour from 8th -13th
April, 2019. Participants were students from top schools from Hungary,
Germany, Norway, Russia , Netherlands and Slovenia.Vedant, the partici-
pant from Amity’46 had the privilege of meeting the The Indian Ambassa-
dor at The Hague and the Dutch Ambassador in New Delhi. Amity pro-
motes learning beyond the borders.
YRONS 2019
MONITOR INVESTITURE
The school organized the Monitor Investiture Ceremony for the Class Monitors on 22nd April and 23rd April,
2019. The ceremony began by the rendition of a Morning Prayer song by the school choir followed by the
school assembly and the introduction of the Class Monitors. Our school Principal Ms. Arti Chopra adminis-
tered the oath. The elected representatives were invested with their badges by Principal; Coordinators &
Class Representatives. Principal Ma’am gave an inspiring speech and motivated the students to discharge
their duties and responsibilities with integrity and to the best of their ability.

The School organized DISHA- A Career Orientation Symposium for the session 2019-2020 as a part of
their ongoing Career guidance and counselling curriculum. Over 28 experts from different career streams
and fields came together to orient the students & parents of Classes IX-XII for their field of professional
interests. The sessions were planned in an interactive and individualized manner where the parents & stu-
dents got to interact with the panel experts on a one to one manner with respect to their queries about the
respective fields. The panel on board consisted of expert parents from different professional arenas and
alumni of Amity- 46 studying abroad. The program commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony with all
the experts who were ushered to their respective venues where the sessions were scheduled. There was an
overwhelming response from the students in all the 30 different venues, specially in that of Aeronautical
Engineering, Computer Sciences, Civil Services, Management, Medicine, Law and Armed Forces. The pan-
elists addressed various pivotal aspects of each of their career dimensions ranging from the road map of
their own success stories, entrance requirements to the courses, best colleges for the course option along
with the misconceptions and misnomers about the field They also threw light about the discrepancies be-
tween the reality and expectations in every career field through the brainstorming sessions. Event Report
Parents browsed through the spectrum of varied options provided through the Disha platform with the stu-
dents who enthusiastically questioned the experts about the new and non conventional career options like
ethical hacking and investment banking to name a few. The feedback taken from the panelists was also
equally affirmative of the huge success of the event as one of them said “ I got to live back my days in train-
ing and preparation where I was struggling, students should definitely get more such platforms to know and
explore the actual insight in to their choice of career”. The parents who attended the different orientation
sessions also gave an good feedback stating that “The experts were not just experienced with their work but
also very understanding of our queries and addressed them accordingly”, while some of them also applaud-
ed the one to one approach of ‘Disha’ which gave them an avenue to discuss the career paths on a more
close knitted basis with the experts from the field as they said ‘This format is much better than sitting in a
workshop with 50 other people where you hardly get answers to all you want to ask, experts here were
available in the room as us and the discussion was more fruitful and informative’. The parents and students
expressed their gratitude to the school and also conveyed their wish to attend and be a part of such a fruitful
and enlightening initiative on a more regular basis.

Team Amity 46 for bagging the Overall Championship Rolling Trophy , Second prize and Best Actor
Award ( junior) Third prize ( senior) in the most coveted Theatre Festival - Ignited Spirits 2019, organized
by Amity PV. It is definitely a creative platform to showcase the theatrical skills of students.
IGNITED SPIRITS 2019
The year of journey of Youth Power, an initiative of The Global
Times, Youth Newspaper of Amity Group with the mission to sen-
sitize the youth towards social issues culminated on 2nd May 2019
with a grand finale. The proud First Runner Up winners were
team Urja from AIS ,sector 46 This year ,Youth power saw ten
teams committed to a social cause ,undertaking multifarious activi-
ties for the same. This year the team bagged prestigious Runner
Up trophy along with Best Social Implementation award and Best
Mentor Teacher Award, Team AIS 46, worked for the cause of
Conserving precious energy while sensitising people in switching
to alternate sources of energy a step towards sustainable development of resources under the project Urja
The team presented their achievements through sensitive short films, moving speeches and creative presen-
tations that left the audience in awe… According to the team members , the smile on the face of an under-
privileged whose village they were able light --,a tiny difference they could make in someone’s life was
their real award.

AUTHOR’S MEET (CLASS VII)
Reading Mahatsova is an annual event which involves reading related activities, meeting var-
ious Authors, reading supplementary books, competitions, Book fair, etc. Author Meets are
being organized in school during Reading Mahatsova’19. On 22/04/2019, Mr. Shubham Das
a writer and an author conducted a session with the students of classes VII. His first book,
“Comedy Dreams”, is a story of a simple guy from Delhi, Sameer Mishra who was the life of
every party he attended. Famous as ‘The Desi Dude’ since his school days, Sameer always
dreamt of becoming a stand-up comedian. But it was not easy to pursue his dream in today’s
fast-paced competitive world. He faced resistance from his father and goes to Mumbai to
make his dream come true. But what awaits him is not success but rather treachery, infidelity and defeat. He is lost in the battle
between fiction and reality and strives to fulfil his dreams. Will he be able to achieve his goal of spreading smiles to the world?”.
He shared his experiences about book writing, benefits of reading habits, etc. The entire experience was quite enriching.
AUTHOR’S MEET (CLASS IX) Author Meets are being organized in School, during Reading Mahatsova’19. On 23/04/2019,
Mr. Murad Ali Baig, a writer and an author conducted a session with the students of classes IX.
He is from the Doon School, did his master’s in history from St Stephen College, New Delhi,
and spent a year at the Sorbonne, Paris. He has a deep interest in history and religion and his
80 Questions to Understand India, History Mythology and Religion (Tara Press, New Delhi)
has sold over 20,000 copies so far. He has a career in public relations and he is writing on
widely different subjects including rural development, power, marketing and humour but is
best known for his articles on automobiles and travel.

PRERNA DIWAS
A Mentor empowers a person, to see a possible future and believe it can be obtained.
As the flowers turn towards the sun to grow, so do we turn to-
wards our respected Chairperson ma’am for the inspiration.
Ma’am is the inspiration behind all creative insights at Amity
and we all draw strength from her persona, thoughts and vision.
Every Year we at Amity celebrate her birthday as Prerna Di-
was. We, at Amity believe - Earth Day is a day to celebrate the
existence of the planet we live on. Students participated in vari-
ous activities to commemorate our existence on Earth. Under the
able guidance of our Respected Principal ma’am and with the
blessings of our beloved Chairperson ma’am, a weeklong Earth
day celebration was held at AIS 46, Gurugram. The Earth day
celebration was
culminated with the Chairperson madam’s birthday cele-
bration on 29th April as Prerna Diwas. During the Earth
Day celebration many activities and competitions were
conducted to increase awareness and appreciation of the
Earth's natural environment. The students made an effort
to showcase environmental education highlight efforts to
green the school and engaged themselves in making a dif-
ference through various activities and competitions.

ACC Session was organized in school on 23 April 2019
for the students of class IX. This session gave the students
an insight of the Annual ACC Camp organized at Ma-
nesar for class IX. It provided a unique opportunity to the
young scholars to acquire the skills of ACC training, ex-
perience life in a camp and the joy of many adventure
sports under the close supervision of trained instructors
and facilitators. Training Syllabi covers all essential mili-
tary subjects concerning drill, field craft, Battle drills,
Map reading and Organizational Structure of the Army.
Suitable exposure is also given to Cadets in Trekking, Shooting, Obstacle Course, Adventure Activities,
General Awareness, Cultural and Allied Activities. Students were excited to learn about the camp and
thanked school Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra for providing them such a unique experience.
ACC SESSION
YES ABROAD PROGRAM Luka Wohl, the Exchange Student from the US, who stud-
ied in our school for almost a year, is now an Amity Almu-
nus. As he completed his tenure in India and prepares to go
back home, Amity truly appreciates the way he attempted to
imbibe Indian culture and appreciated our cultural heritage.
Thanking his class teacher, all other teachers who taught
him and host parents, it goes without saying that he truly
left good memories with his friends, in class, sports field,
tabla room or the library. Honorable Chairperson felicitated
him and wished him for all the success for his upcoming
future. We are thankful to AFS for giving the school this
opportunity and to AERC for all the kind support.

ATL COMMUNITY DAY
To Celebrate the community day for ATL , 40 students
from Govt. Girls senior secondary school were invited
along with Amitasha students in order to expose them
to various technology driven activities , to instill the
spirit of community connect through science. The pro-
gram was inaugurated by Respected Principal Ma'am
Ms Arti Chopra who encouraged the students to come
up with innovative and sustainable ideas to make com-
munity a better place to live i. Students were given
hands on experience on ATL tools and kits that can be
used to make a drone , understand the aerodynamics,
working of motion sensors and Creatile Kit etc. Along with the guest school, we had our own kids from
Amitasha. They all enjoyed the activities demonstrated to them and they also used those kits to have a bet-
ter understanding. They were encouraged by the mentor Mr. Vivek and Guest of Honour Mr. Hetal Sonpal
to have a problem solving attitude to come up with new ideas . We had students volunteer from AIS 46
who were actively involved in the training of these students. Overall it was an enriching experience for
both the volunteer students as well as the students from the government school, to have a flavor of hands
on activities that can help us to have a better tomorrow. Though the students of Amitasha were the young-
est amongst all but they were actively involved and having thrill in performing all the activities taught by
the volunteers.
Roman Rolland French Olympiad

Roman Rolland French Olympiad’s National Level Exam was
conducted on 25th January 2019 in the school premises.
knowledge on French language reading, listening, Grammar, vo-
cabulary skills as well as culture and civilization was tested. The
overall experience for the students as well as teachers was very
enriching and knowledgeable. Students appeared at State Level
written Exam & National level online exam. Seven students com-
prising Sumi Gupta, Rahul Singhal, Shreya Singal, Laboni
Thakur, Saumya Mahajan, Anjali Ekka and Namjas kaur bagged
national level ranks, received certificates & gold medals.
The school is proud to have won laurels in the International Commerce
Olympiad which was organised on 30th November 2018, by Commerce
Teacher Foundation(CTF). Shubhanshi Jain bagged the First Prize and a
gold medal, Abhinav Sardesai won Silver and Nalin Bansal won bronze
medal. Shashank Rathi, Ishaani Bhadani, Sharddha, Ananya Sandeep,
Antra, Hiranya, Ananya Gupta,Ishita Aggarwal, Ananya Singh,Divija
Rustagi,Ria Parth, Akshita, Arushi, Shaurya, Arpita, Rishika, Divya Bahl
were the other proud participants of the Olympiad and represented the
school in the event. School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra, congratulated the winners on their astounding
achievement and felicitated them in the school assembly.
INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE OLYMPIAD
Amity French Olympiad
The Amity French Olympiad was conducted by school on 31
January 2019 in all the participating Amity Schools. A total
of 270 students participated in the Olympiad. The question
paper tested their knowledge on Reading, Vocabulary, Ex-
pressions and Grammar as well as culture and civilization.
The overall experience for the students as well as the teachers
was very enriching. The overall trophy for Class IX was
bagged by AIS 46. From Class X, Achintya Gupta and Rushil
Garg bagged the 1st position with a gold medal, Namjas Kaur
got he second position followed by Aditya Pathak on the third
position. From Class 9, Rahul Singhal secured first position,
Kshitij bagged second position and Shreya Singhal bagged
third position. School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra, congratulated the winners on their stupendous achieve-
ment and felicitated them in the school assembly.

Reaffirming the commitment of providing quality education, an
orientation programme for the parents of classes IX to XII was
organised in the school premises on Saturday, 27th April
2019. The session was conducted in two slots.
8:30 – 9:30 Am – For grades IX and X
10:00 – 11:00 Am- For grades XI and XII
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp fol-
lowed by a classical Oddisi dance performance by Meghna
Barik of grade XII J. The purpose of this programme was to
apprise the parents about the holistic education imparted in the
school, class 10 board examination better. The Principal, Ms. Arti Chopra commenced the session with a
powerful and insightful presentation, urging the students to select streams according to aptitude as well as
academic strength and not merely due to peer or parental pressure. She urged parents and teachers to focus
on the need to tread along with a positive attitude and develop strong personality amongst children. The ob-
jective was also to orient the parents with insight in the various subject combinations offered by the school
and the career prospects. They were also apprised about various school clubs like Model United Nations,
Interact club, theatre and various Work and Art experience clubs which are an integral part of the school
program. The achievements of students at national and international level were also shared with the parents
and the various school initiatives highlighted. Mrs Arti Chopra also reiterated the code of conduct of the stu-
dents in the school premises. Ms. Shalini Aggarwal, the co-ordinator of classes IX and X and Ms. Manisha
Khanna the co-ordinator of classes XI and XII elaborated on the changed pattern of evaluation by
CBSE and the areas where a student would be accessed through a meticulously prepared and detailed power
-point presentation. They emphasized on the need for knowing about these changes and the role of parents
in guiding their children more effectively. The importance of remedial teaching and its role was also
brought forth. The class teachers of the respective sections were also introduced. During the sessions a talk
on usages of Amitranet was also given. Orientation for CAE was taken by Ms. Ritika Sharma and Ms An-
kita Dey. The various benefits and courses of CAE were explained by them. The parents were very happy
with the session.

Discipline and self esteem means train-
ing of the mind and character. Keeping
this in mind our Respected Principal
Mam, “Ms. Arti Chopra” conducted a
workshop with the students of class VII
on 24 April 2019 and VIII on April 26,
2019 . Various topics were covered dur-
ing the workshops which includes Set-
ting goals ,upbringing ,characteristics
of people & self esteem, for-
giveness ,gratitude , how to discipline
yourself and various other topics which
helps a child to be future ready , to be
together ,to be in good spirit towards
life. This program was largely to moti-
vate and to teach them life skills
which are crucial aspects to become a
better person in life.
DISCIPLINE ON SELF AND SELF ESTEEM WORKSHOP
Mr. Amit shared his views about different career
opportunities which can be chosen from 24 di-
verse streams largely covering management,
mass communication, films, drama, engineering
science technology and many more. This pro-
gram duration is for two week beginning 27th
May – 7th June’19 and is certified by Amity Uni-
versity. Students showed immense excitement
towards the program and it was quite an engag-
ing session.
