    SEASIDE HEIGHTS Thinking of going to thebeach here this weekend? Borough officials havea suggestion: If youre not attending the Gentle-men of the Road Stopover music festival, visit an-other towns beach instead.

    The massive festival, headlined by Mumford& Sons and featuring Alabama Shakes, Dawesand The Flaming Lips along with numerous otherbands, is expected to draw a crowd of 30,000 to35,000 to Seaside Heights this weekend. The mes-sage on the boroughs website is as clear as it isunusual: If you are not participating as a festivalguest or employee of one of our businesses we askthat you please consider visiting Seaside Parkand Lavallette between June 4-6.

    Starting Thursday for the first time Sea-side Heights beaches will be closed for the dura-tion of the festival. Seaside Park beaches will hon-or Seaside Heights beach badges this weekend. Afestival pass or wristband will also be required toenter the boardwalk between Grant and Porteravenues before 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

    An employee of the Lidz store at Ocean County Mallhas been charged with making a bomb threat againstthe mall, an apparent hoax that was uncovered afterdetectives traced the phone call, authorities said.

    Showander Descarte, 24, of Ridgeway Road in Man-chester, has been charged with creating a false publicalarm and terroristic threats, according to a releasefrom Toms River police and the Ocean County Prose-cutors Office. She remains in the Ocean County Jail inlieu of $10,000 bail.

    Police still are looking into whether this bomb hoaxwas related to one on May 27, which shut down theOcean County Mall for hours.
