My Webinar Background

• January 2008 at ATIA conference it was determined AFP programs should reach out to ATIA members to inform them of the program

• June of 2008 conducted a webinar utilizing the ATIA system:– Coordinated with ATIA via conference call– Presenters coordinated the information – Power Point was created

ABLE Tech’s Training Challenge

• Contract w/ Department of Rehabilitation Services to train counselors staff on ATF and AFP

• DRS did not have a mechanism to bring staff together in one location

• Through the NATTAP - ATIA partnership ABLE Tech could use the ATIA webinar platform free

STEPS

• Coordination between the DRS training unit and ATIA– Set out the responsibilities of all parties– Dates & Time - 4 sessions needed– Inform DRS supervisors– Test web site with DRS IT unit– Provide PowerPoint presentation to ATIA– Conduct the training

• Approved 3 new ATF guaranty loans– 1 Applicant was able to coordinate DRS

funding with a PASS Plan to make loan payment for an SSDI recipient to start an engraving printing business out of his home

Next Steps for Oklahoma

• Coordinated with the Oklahoma Rehabilitation Council to conduct a social security training via ATIA webinar platform

• ABLE Tech has conducted two webinars in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education – Accessible IT– AT Software for Students with Disabilities

Update on Webinar Series

• Oklahoma SSA series– Series of 12 webinars held over 2 ½ months– 161 participants divided into 3 groups– Survey results

• from 50%+ of participants• 4.15 out of 5 over a variety of areas

• Planning another series over the summer

Other NATTAP Users

• 20 webinars by AT Act Programs over last 18 months

• Variety of uses– Educational workshops

• Subjects included technology, new programs and building awareness

– Best practices workgroups– Team meetings
