Are we succeeding?

• Currently, we have 95 students enrolled in AVID at HHS

• These students are successful and the majority are on their way to attending college.

AVID Students Must:

• attend an AVID elective class• enroll in one or more advanced academic

class• maintain satisfactory citizenship, grades and

attendance in all classes• maintain the AVID binder with

assignment/grade record sheets and daily notes in all classes

• complete all homework assignments and commit to studying every night

AVID Application Process• Get an application from the counseling office

or your teacher.

• Return completed application to Counseling Center. Make sure you have spoken to the teachers from whom you requested the recommendations.

• Come to an interview with the AVID Committee.

• Grades, attendance, SOLS, and discipline will be considered.

AVID DUE DATES

• Application is due April 30th

• Interviews will begin the week of May 5th.

• You will know if you are accepted by May 20th.
