Look for any Loose fasteners.Identify signs such as movement, rust streaks, etc..

• Release the Parking Brake

• Check Brake Adjustment

The manual adjustment of an automatic adjuster should only be done to allow safe transportation of vehicle to the repair facility………”

• Remove the adjuster

cover• Identify that a

“shear adapter” is

installed– Shear Adapter is designed to protect

the caliper from over-torque

– If over-torque occurs, the shear adapter will fail (shear)

– Once replaced, the caliper can then be properly adjusted

– If two shear adapters fail consecutively, refer to the SD Sheet, BW7308 for trouble shooting procedure

• Using a 10mm boxed end wrench or 6pt socket

• Rotate the shear adapter clockwise until brakes are tight

• Rotate shear adapter counter clockwise TWO (2) clicks

“shear adapter”

installed• Reinstall the adjuster

cover• Verify that the

adjuster cover is properly installed
