A message from Brad
Welcome to week 2 everyone!
This week we farewell our long serving School Administrative Manager (SAM) Mrs Ryan after 19 years at Bongongo Public School as she retires from her post. Mrs Ryan has been a dedicated and passionate staff member who has consistently gone above and beyond her job description from fixing pumps and plumbing issues to tending to the numerous number of animals over the years. Mrs Ryan has been a strong confidant of mine during my time as principal and she has always been on hand when further guidance has been required. Parents and carers of Bongongo Public School have been the beneficiaries of Mrs Ryan’s organisation of excursions, management of finances and tending to their children’s needs.
On Behalf of Bongongo I wish Mrs Ryan all the very best in her retirement and good luck with her future endeavours.
That’s about all this week. Enjoy the week everyone!

A message from Miss Reynolds
The first week of term was jam –packed and busy for the students. The PDHPE focus this term is Healthy, Active lifestyles with students commencing the topic on discussing ‘safe’ people to support us. It was great to hear that family and friends play a crucial network for our students to feel they have the support if needed.
Our Sport this term is practicing skills and techniques with catching, throwing in anticipation for the T-Ball Arabin cup at the end of the term.
As a settling technique students have commenced a morning routine of ‘table drumming’ which focuses on co-ordination, focus, rhythm and sets students up for the Literacy session with enthusiasm.
The Kinder students worked on the ‘qu’ and ‘ou’ phonics last week and will be learning about ‘er’ and ‘ar’ this week. Year 1 students focused on a_e and Verbs last week.
