The Queen's heir is Charles, Prince of Wales, who was born in 1948, married Lady Diana Spencer and has two children, Prince William and Prince Harry. The Prince of Wales is well-known as a
keen promoter of British interests.
The Queen's husband, Duke of Edinburgh, was born in 1926 and served in the
Royal Navy. He takes a great of interest in industry and in saving raise wild
animals from extinction.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York, served as a helicopter pilot in the Royal
Navy. In 1986 he married Miss Sarah Ferguson and has two daughters.
Queen Elizabeth II Queen Elizabeth II was born in Windsor on 21 April 1926. Her full name is Elizabeth-Mary-Alexander Windsor. Her first speech was made on the radio in 1940. In 1947 Elizabeth married Prince Philip. Their first son Prince Charles was born in 1948. Elizabeth came to the throne in 1952. The young queen was crowned in Westminster Abby on 2 July 1953. Nowadays the Queen plays an important role in the country. She has four children: They are Prince Charles , Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward.
The Queen Day’s When the Queen gets up in the morning,
seven people look after her. One stars her bath, one prepares her clothes, and one feeds the Royal dogs. She has eight or nine dogs, and they sleep in their own bedroom near the Queen’s bedroom. Two people bring her breakfast. She has coffee from Harrods, toasts, and eggs. Every day for fifteen minutes, a piper plays Scottish music outside her room and the Queen reads the Times. Every Tuesday evening, she meets the Prime Minister. They talk about world news and have a drink, perhaps a gin and tonic or a whisky.
