DAYAW COFFEE & TEA REVIEW

Brought to you by

Known for its Mindanawon

theme, Dayaw Coffee and Tea

is a favorite haunt of coffee

lovers who support the local

coffee community.

The cafe exudes a homey

vibe indoors and outdoors.

Earth tones coupled with the

ambient lighting and an

excellent view of the dancing

fountain below makes Dayaw

Coffee perfect for relaxing

over a hot cup of brewed

coffee or tea.

From the entrance to the

interior, Dayaw Coffee and

Tea features fabulous artwork

made by local artists. The

paintings are usually of

Dabawenyo themes, depicting

scenes from lives of the

region’s indigenous tribes.

The paintings are usually

festive. Pictured is one of the

largest pieces in the café.

Displayed near the cakes, it

intices guests to partake in the

food and drinks on offer.

Besides local artists, Dayaw

Coffee and Tea also supports

local coffee growers. The

coffee beans used in the cafe

are sourced from growers all

over Mindanao.

The cafe's menu is a

collection of well-concocted

beverages, finger food and all-

day breakfast meals. Their

bestsellers are named after

mountains in the region: Apo,

Matutum, KItanglad, Talomo

and Hamiguitan.

Homemade pastries are

available to accompany a cup

of coffee or as take home

treats. They are also great for

pasalubong.

Orders are prepared at

simple-looking bar by a

smiling barrista. Beverages

served at Dayaw Coffee and

Tea are excellent pick-me-

ups. An extra shot of espresso

is also always available!

True to the Dabawenyo

theme, Dayaw Coffee and Tea

makes use of the local fabric

Tnalak used in tribal

costumes, especially during

festivals. The fabric is used as

wall lining and its pattern is

printed on coffee collars.

Dayaw Coffee and Tea is

located at the Second Level

Fountain Court of SM Lanang

Premier. The mall is the

largest in Mindanao and has

the longest dancing fountain

in the Philippines.
