POWER PRODUCTION SHOP

GENERAL NOTES:

1. ENSURE THAT NO WASTEWATER ASSOCIATED WITH THE POURING OF ANY CONCRETE IS

DISCHARGED TO SURFACE WATERS OF THE STATE (E.G.: WETLANDS, STORMWATER SYSTEMS, ETC.)

2. TO ENSURE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CLEAN AIR ACT AND AFI 32-7040 ARE MET, ALL GENERATOR

INFORMATION, INCLUDING ANY RUN-TIMES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INSTALLATION, MUST BE ENTERED

INTO THE AIR PROGRAM INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (APIMS). THIS INFORMATION AND DATA

MUST BE REPORTED TO MR. BARRY L. WOODS, 1 SOCES/CEIE, (850) 884-4652.

3. CONSTRUCTION AT EACH INDIVIDUAL BUILDING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED INDIVIDUALLY. THE

COMPLETE REMOVAL, CONSTRUCTION, REINSTALLATION, TESTING AND GOVERNMENT ACCEPTANCE

OF EACH BUILDING SHALL BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE ALLOWED TO START

CONSTRUCTION AT THE NEXT BUILDING.

4. POWER OUTAGES REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES TO THE ELECTRICAL SERVICES TO

FACILITIES SHALL NOT EXCEED 12 HOURS AT A TIME.

5. INDIVIDUAL FACILITIES SHALL NOT BE WITHOUT GENERATOR CONNECTED BACKUP POWER FOR

LONGER THAN 72 HOURS.

6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FACTORY CERTIFIED GENERATOR START-UP PERSONNEL TO

PERFORM FACTORY START-UP IN ORDER TO BEGIN FACTORY WARRANTY.

7. WORK IS AUTHORIZED ON WEEKEND WITH PRIOR APPROVAL.

8. ENSURE CLEARANCES AROUND GENERATOR ARE AT LEAST 48” AT CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION.

9. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE SHOCK ISOLATORS FOR GENERATORS UNDER 250 KW. FOR GENERATORS

250 KW AND ABOVE THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE 4” BOX BEAMS UNDER THE GENERATOR TO

PROVIDE CLEARANCE.

6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSULATE THE SILENCER AND EXHAUST PIPING INSIDE THE EQUIPMENT ROOM.

INSULATION SHALL BE FURNISHED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
